About Unpeeled: The Case Files of Maya McCluen
This short-form game prototype was developed as a proof of concept to prompt research on the development of a proposed, full game.
Game developers at NMSU Learning Games Lab and Content Experts from University of Connecticut Extension collaborated during a week-long Game Jam. It has simple, place-holder graphics and simplified gameplay. Using this prototype, the team can now investigate how to move forward with a fuller game, refining audience and content, and identify a budget for production.
This prototype was designed to represent one module in a multi-module game about interpreting labels. In a proposed, complete game, several modules would address various parts of label reading in the grocery aisle.
